পুরুষ যাত্রী এমন ভাব দেখালেন যেন তিনি কিছুই শুনতে পাননি। তিনি হাত দিয়ে ইশারায় বুঝাতে চাইলেন, তিনি বধির, তাই কানে শুনতে পান না ইশারা দিয়ে তাই বলছেন। "যদি কিছু বলতে চান, তবে তা এই কাগজে লিখে দিন।" এই কথা ইশারার মাধ্যমে বুঝালেন। অতঃপর পকেট থেকে তিনি এক টুকরো কাগজ বের করে দিলেন।

সুন্দরী মেয়েটি এবার কাগজের উপর আগের কথাগুলো লিখলেন। পুরুষ যাত্রী এবার কাগজটি নিয়ে পকেটে রেখে দিলন এবং হাসতে হাসতে বললেন" এবার তুমি না, আমি চিৎকার দিয়ে মানুষ ও পুলিশ ডাকবো, ছিনতাইয়ের অপচেষ্টার দায়ে তোমাকে ধরিয়ে দিব। মেয়েটি অবাক দৃষ্টিতে পুরুষটির দিকে তাকিয়ে রইলো"। সুন্দরী মেয়েটি পুরুষটিকে বিপদে ফেলতে গিয়ে সে নিজেই বিপদে পড়ে গেলেন। প্রবাদ আছে, অপরের জন্য গর্ত করলে, সেই গর্তে নিজেকে পড়তে হয়।
