It is Very Difficult to be Trustworthy
When Saddam Hussein's body was laid to
rest after his execution, a group of people came and spat on his body, all of
them Iraqi nationals, but each of the 12 American soldiers guarding him cried.
Former CIA official John Nixon said the 2003 invasion of Iraq was wrong.
Outgoing US President-elect and President-elect Donald Trump has agreed that

Saddam was captured by US forces in 2003.

Gandhiji is best known as Bapu or Bapuji.

non-violence, Indians have called him the "Father of the Nation". But
he was shot dead on January 30, 1948 in India. At that time he was holding a
night rally in the middle of Birla Bhavan (Birla House) in New Delhi. His
killer, Nathuram Godse, was a Hindu fundamentalist with whom the extremist
"Hindu Mahasabha" had contacts.

was assassinated in his own family by a man named Khandaker Mushtaq.

নিক্সন আরো জানান, আমি তার কাছে জানতে চাইলাম
এটা তার কেন মনে হলো ? তখন তিনি উত্তর দিলেন, তোমরা ইরাকে পরাজিত হবে কারণ তোমরা এ
দেশের ভাষা, ঐতিহ্য এবং আরবদের মনোভাব সম্পর্কে কিছুই জানো না।
নিক্সনের মতে, সাদ্দাম যে একেবারে খাঁটি কথা
বলেছিলেন তা এখন হাড়ে হাড়েই টের পাচ্ছি আমরা। তিনিই ইরাকের উপযুক্ত শাসক ছিলেন। তবে
ফাঁসির রশিতে ঝোলানোর আগ পর্যন্ত তাঁর মনোবল ছিল অটুট। ছিল না কোনো অনুশোচনা।
ইন্দিরা গান্ধীর পরিণতি হয়েছিল আরও করুণ ছিল।

১৯৯১ সালের ২১শে মে রাজীব গান্ধী তামিল নাডুর,
মাদ্রাজ থেকে ৩০ মাইল দুরে শ্রীপেরুম্বুদুরে যখন শ্রীপেরুম্বুদুর লোক সভা কেন্দ্রের
কংগ্রেস প্রার্থীর হয়ে প্রচার-অভিযান সভায় তখন গুপ্ত ঘাতক দ্বারা তাকে হত্যা করা
হয়। এই গুপ্ত হত্যাকান্ডটি সংঘটিত করেছিলো লিবারেশন টাইগার্স অফ তামিল ইলম (LTTE)
আত্মঘাতী মানববোমা থেনমঝি রাজারত্নম, একে গায়েত্রী এবং ধানু বলেও জানা যায়।
রাত দশটা দশ মিনিটে একটি জনসভায় ধানু তার কাছে
যায় এবং প্রধানমন্ত্রী কে অভিনন্দন জানায়। সে তারপর নিচু হয়ে তাকে প্রনাম করার ছলে
তার পোশাকের ভেতরে বাঁধা একটি কোমোর-বন্ধনীর সঙ্গে রাখা ৭০০ গ্রাম ওজনের বোমাটির
(RDX) বিস্ফোরণ ঘটায়। অনেক মানুষ সেই বিস্ফোরণে প্রাণ হারান। এই হত্যাকান্ডটি একজন
স্থানীয় চিত্রগ্রাহকের ক্যামেরায় ধরা হয়ে থাকে যেটি পরে ঘটনাস্থল থেকে পাওয়া যায়।
চিত্রগ্রাহকও ওই বিস্ফোরণে প্রাণ হারায় কিন্তু ক্যামেরা টি অক্ষত ছিল। সেই ঘটনাস্থলে
রাজীব গান্ধী স্মৃতি স্তম্ভ গড়ে তলা হয়েছে।
গান্ধীজি এর সবচেয়ে বেশি পরিচিতি তিনি বাপু বা
বাপুজি নামে। এই বাপু শব্দটির অর্থ পিতা। সেই অর্থে পুরো জাতি তাকেই পিতার সম্মান দিয়েছে।
ভারতের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামে অহিংসাকে ব্রত করে গান্ধীজি যে অবদান রেখেছেন, তার প্রতিদানে
ভারতবাসী তাকে ‘‘জাতির জনক’’ আখ্যা দিয়েছে।
কিন্তু তাকে ভারত বর্ষের মাটি ১৯৪৮ সালের ৩০ জানুয়ারি গান্ধীকে গুলি করে হত্যা করা
হয়। সে সময় তিনি নতুন দিল্লীর বিরলা ভবন ( বিরলা হাউস ) মাঝে রাত্রিকালীন পথসভা করছিলেন।
তার হত্যাকারী নাথুরাম গডসে ছিলেন একজন হিন্দু মৌলবাদী যার সাথে চরমপন্থী "হিন্দু
মহাসভার" যোগাযোগ ছিল।
বঙ্গবন্ধুর পিতা শেখ লুৎফর রহমানের দেহ নামাতে
যে লোকটি কবরে নেমেছিল, বঙ্গবন্ধুর মাতার মৃত্যুতে যে লোকটি মাটিতে শুয়ে কান্নায়
গড়াগড়ি করেছিলো, শেখ কামালের বিয়ের উকিল বাপ যে মানুষটি ছিলো, ১৯৭৫ সালের ১৪ই আগস্ট
দুপুরে যে লোকটি বাসা থেকে তরকারী রান্না করে নিয়ে গিয়ে বঙ্গবন্ধুকে খাইয়েছিলো তারপরের
দিন ১৫ই আগষ্ট বঙ্গবন্ধুকে স্বপরিবারে সেই লোকই খুন করেছিল যার নাম খন্দকার মোশতাক।
ইতিহাসের পৃষ্ঠায় পৃষ্ঠায়, এক একটা সাম্রাজ্যের
পতন হয়েছে তাদের সব চাইতে কাছের মানুষদের হাত ধরে। সৌদি আরবের বাদশা ফয়সাল যখন তার
ভাইপোকে আলিঙ্গন করার উদ্দেশ্যে দু হাত বাড়িয়ে দিলেন, প্রতি উত্তরে হঠাৎই পকেট থেকে
পিস্তল বের করে পরপর তিনটা গুলি করে বসলেন।
গোয়েন্দারা আসামী সনাক্ত করার জন্য অনেক গুলো
পদ্ধতি অবলম্বন করে থাকে, তার একটি হল প্রত্যেককেই সন্দেহের দৃষ্টিতে দেখা। সব চাইতে
বেশি সন্দেহ তাকে করা যাকে মনে হবে সব চাইতে কম সন্দেহজনক।
ইতিহাস আমাদের বার বার শিখিয়ে গেছে, মানুষের
জীবনের সব চাইতে বড় যে শত্রু তাকে কখনোই চেনা যায় না, সে থাকে সব থেকে কাছের বন্ধুর
মত করে।
আপনার ব্যক্তিগত জীবনেও তাই, আপনি সব চাইতে বেশি
প্রতারিত হবেন আপনার কাছের মানুষদের কাছ থেকে।

আপনাকে সব চাইতে বেশি কষ্ট দেয়া মানুষের তালিকা করলে সেখানে শত্রু না,আপন মানুষদের
নাম দেখতে পাবেন। শত্রু কখনো বিশ্বাস ঘাতক হয় না, বিশ্বাস ঘাতকতা করে কেবল আপন মানুষরাই।
তাই মনে রাখবেন, বন্ধুর সাথে কম সময় ব্যয় করুন এবং শত্রুর সাথে বেশি সময় ব্যয় করুন।
