Sheikh Kamal Bridge

 Sheikh Kamal Bridge built on the andharmanic River in Kalapara. An important bridge between Patuakhali district and the whole country is due to location.

Sheikh Kamal Bridge is playing a unique role in communicating with the ports of pigeons under Kalapara.

The bridge has been able to play a significant role in the economic development of the local and national paradigm by facilitating communication with the pigeon ports from various places, including the tourist hub of Kuwait, Patuakhali.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the construction of the bridge on September 27, 2012. The bridge is being constructed by Simplex and Novona Construction Group. The bridge is 891.76 meters in length and 10.25 meters wide bridges have 19 spans and 95 yards. Double lean and the construction cost of this project 65 crores 1 lac 85 thousand taka.

 

 

শেখ কামাল সেতু

কলাপাড়ার আন্ধারমানিক নদীর উপর নির্মিত শেখ কামাল সেতু। অবস্থানগত কারণে পটুয়াখালী জেলা তথা সারাদেশের মধ্যে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি সেতু।

কলাপাড়ার নির্মাণাধীন পায়রা সমুদ্র বন্দরের সাথে যোগাযোগের ক্ষেত্রে অনন্য ভূমিকা পালন করছে শেখ কামাল সেতু।

পটুয়াখালীর কুয়াকাটার পর্যটন কেন্দ্রসহ বিভিন্ন জায়গা থেকে পায়রা বন্দরের সাথে যোগাযোগ সহজতর করার মাধ্যমে স্থানীয় ও জাতীয় পার্যায়ে অর্থনৈতিক উন্নয়নে সেতুটি উল্লেখযোগ্য ভূমিকা রাখতে সক্ষম হচ্ছে।

প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা ২২ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০১২ এ সেতুটি নির্মাণের উদ্বোধন করেন। এই সেতুটি সিম্প্লেক্স এবং নোভোনা কনস্ট্রাকশন গ্রুপ দ্বারা নির্মাণ করা হচ্ছে। ব্রিজটির দৈর্ঘ্য ৮৯১.৭৬ মিটার এবং ১০.২৫  মিটার প্রশস্ত সেতুর ১৯ টি স্প্যান এবং ৯৫ গজ রয়েছে। ডাবল লাইন এবং এই প্রকল্পের নির্মাণ ব্যয় ৬৫ কোটি ১ লক্ষ ৮৫ হাজার টাকা।
