Covid19 infection is on the rise in Rajshahi. As many as 910 people have been infected with corona in Rajshahi district and metropolis till Friday morning. Among them, the highest number of people have been infected in Paba upazila at the upazila level of the district. On June 2, 30 people were infected in the upazila in a single day.

The highest number of people infected in 6 unions and two municipalities of Paba upazila has been infected in Naohata municipality. Covid19 of 23 people has been identified in this municipality. Besides, 3 people in Darshanpara Union, 10 people in Huzuripara Union, 07 people in Haripur Union, 12 people in Hargram Union, 06 people in Katakhali Municipality and Harian Union, 05 people in Bargachhi Union and Parila Union 01 have been identified.

Meanwhile, a doctor has died in Covid19 in Nowhata municipality. However, no one has been infected so far in Damkura Union and Indian border chars of the upazila.

According to the Paba Upazila Civil Surgeon's Office, 20 people have been infected in Bagha Upazila of Rajshahi district, 28 in Charghat, 14 in Puthia, 12 in Durgapur, 31 in Bagmara, 41 in Mohanpur, 37 in Tanore, 67 in Poba and 10 in Godagari. So far 9 people have died in Rajshahi. Of these, 5 people died in Rajshahi City Corporation area. Apart from this, one person died in Bagha, Charghat, Paba and Mohanpur.

04 July 2020 Covid19 situation, 14,727 people have been tested and 3,288 people have been infected and 2,673 people have recovered, 29 people have died. A total of 1,59,679 people were infected and 1,997 died.

Asked about the prevalence of the infection in Paba Upazila, Upazila Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Rabia Basri said, "The negligence of the people is the main reason for the increase in the infection." People are traveling to public places including hats and bazaars without following social distance and hygiene rules. In addition, when there was a lockdown, someone from Dhaka or Narayanganj would immediately lock down their home and test the samples, which made it possible to control the infection. Now it is not possible. It can also be a major cause of infection.

Note: Covid19 infection will be more widespread in Rajshahi in future. The main reason is that people working in other districts come and stay in Rajshahi last Eid. On the other hand, people do not understand how far the effects of the Covid19 virus can go and people do not understand about lockdown. And next Eid-ul-Azha, Covid19 will have a huge size. So everyone stays at home and maintains social distance and keeps their family healthy.

কোভিড১৯ সংক্রমন রাজশাহীতে উর্দ্ধগতি

রাজশাহীতে হুট করেই বাড়ছে করোনার সংক্রমণ। শুক্রবার সকাল পর্যন্ত রাজশাহী জেলা ও মহানগরে করোনা সংক্রমিত হয়েছেন ৯১০ জন। এরমধ্যে জেলার উপজেলা পর্যায়ে সর্বোচ্চ সংখ্যক মানুষ সংক্রমিত হয়েছে পবা উপজেলায়। গত ২ জুন একদিনেই এ উপজেলায় ৩০ জনের সংক্রমিত হওয়ার ফলাফল মিলেছে।

পবা উপজেলার ৮ টি ইউনিয়ন ও দুইটি পৌরসভার মধ্যে সর্বোচ্চ সংখ্যক মানুষ সংক্রমিত  হয়েছেন নওহাটা পৌরসভায়। এ পৌরসভায় ২৩ জনের কোভিড-১৯ শনাক্ত হয়েছে । এছাড়া উপজেলার দর্শনপাড়া ইউনিয়নে ৩ জন, হুজুরিপাড়া ইউনিয়নে ১০ জন,  হরিপুর ইউনিয়নে ০৭  জন, হড়গ্রাম ইউনিয়নে ১২ জন, কাটাখালি পৌরসভা ও হরিয়ান ইউনিয়ন ০৬ জন, বড়গাছি ইউনিয়ন ০৫ জন এবং পারিলা ইউনিয়নে ০১ জনের কোভিড-১৯ শনাক্ত হয়েছে।

এরইমধ্যে নওহাটা পৌরসভায় কোভিড-১৯ সংক্রমিত হয়ে এক চিকিৎসকের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। তবে উপজেলার দামকুড়া ইউনিয়ন ও ভারতীয় সীমান্তবর্তী চরাঞ্চলে এ পর্যন্ত কোন ব্যাক্তি সংক্রমিত হয়নি ।

পবা উপজেলা সিভিল সার্জন অফিস সুত্রে জানা গেছে, রাজশাহী জেলার বাঘা উপজেলায় ২০, চারঘাটে ২৮, পুঠিয়ায় ১৪, দুর্গাপুরে ১২, বাগমারায় ৩১, মোহনপুরে ৪১, তানোরে ৩৭, পবায় ৬৭ এবং গোদাগাড়ীতে ১০ জন কোভিড-১৯ সংক্রমিত হয়েছেন। রাজশাহীতে এ পর্যন্ত মারা গেছেন ৯ জন। এর মধ্যে রাজশাহী সিটি কর্পোরেশন এলাকাতেই প্রাণ গেছে ৫ জনের। এর বাইরে বাঘা, চারঘাট, পবা ও মোহনপুরে একজন করে মারা গেছেন।

০৪ জুলাই ২০২০ কোভিড১৯ পরিস্থিতি, পরীক্ষা হয়েছে ১৪,৭২৭ জন এবং আক্রান্ত হয়েছে ৩,২৮৮ জন ও সুস্থ হয়েছে ২,৬৭৩ জন, মৃত্যু ২৯ জন। মোট আক্রান্ত ১,৫৯,৬৭৯ জন এবং মুত্যু ১,৯৯৭ জন।

হুট করেই পাবা উপজেলায় সংক্রমণের এমন ব্যাপকতার কারণ জানতে চাইলে উপজেলা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ডাঃ রাবেয়া বসরী বলেন, জনসাধারণের অসাবধানতা সংক্রমণ বাড়ার মূল কারণ। সামাজিক দূরত্ব ও স্বাস্থ্যবিধি না মেনেই মানুষ হাট-বাজার সহ পবলিক প্লেসগুলোতে যাতায়াত করছে। এছাড়া লকডাউন থাকা অবস্থায় ঢাকা বা নারায়ণগঞ্জ থেকে কেউ আসলে তাৎক্ষনিক তাদের বাসা লকডাউন ও নমুনা পরীক্ষা করা হত যার ফলে সংক্রমণ নিয়ন্ত্রনে রাখা সম্ভব হয়েছিল। এখন এটা সম্ভব হয় না। এটাও সংক্রমণ বাড়ার বড় কারণ হতে পারে।

নোটঃ রাজশাহীতে কোভিড১৯ সংক্রমন আগামীতে আরও ব্যাপকতর হবে। মূল কারণ হলো গত ঈদে অন্য জেলায় কর্মরত মানুষ রাজশাহীতে আসে এবং অবস্থান করে। অপর দিকে মানুষের কোভিড১৯ ভাইরাসের প্রভাব কত দূর যেতে পারে তা সম্পর্কে বুঝতে পারছে না এবং লকডাউন সম্পর্কে জনগন বুঝে না। আর আগামী কুরবানী ঈদে ব্যাপক আকার ধারণ করবে কোভিড১৯। তাই সকলে ঘরে থাকি ও সামাজিক দূরত্ব বজায় রাখি এবং নিজের পরিবারকে সুস্থ রাখি।
