অ্যাভিগান ঔষধ নিয়ে বিশ্ব জুড়ে বিশ্ব জুড়ে আলোচনা শুরু হয়েছে এবং এর কার্যকারিতা সম্পর্কে জাপান সরকার বলেছেন। যদিও কোভিড১৯ এর টিকা বা ঔষধ এখনও বাজারে আসতে দেরি আছে। এই তথ্য বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা (হু) জানিয়েছে।

জাপান সরকার জানিয়েছে, অ্যাভিগান এক ধরনের অ্যান্টি-ভাইরার ঔষধ । এ ধরনের ঔষধ মানবদেহে ভাইরাসের বংশবিস্তার রোধে দারুণ কার্যকর। এরা এক ধরনের এনজাইম খেয়ে ফেলে যা ভাইরাসের বৃদ্ধি হ্রাস পায়। সে হিসেবে অ্যাভিগান কোভিড১৯ রোগ প্রতিরোধে প্রধান ভূমিকা রাখতে পারবে বলে আশা করছেন।

ইবোলা ভাইরাস চিকিৎসায় অ্যাভিগানের জেনেটিক গোত্রীয় ফ্যাভিপিরাভির প্রয়োগ ঘটান গবেষকরা। ইঁদুরের ওপর এর পরীক্ষা চালিয়ে ফলও পেয়েছিলেন তারা। তবে মানবদেহে এর কার্যকারিতা এখনও প্রমাণিত নয়। গবেষকদের আশা, কোভিড১৯ রোগীদের অ্যাভিগান প্রয়োগে ভালো ফলাফল পাওয়া গেছে।

কোভিড১৯ আক্রান্ত রোগীদের চিকিৎসার জন্য পরীক্ষামূলকভাবে ২০টি দেশকে বিনামূল্যে অ্যাভিগান পাঠানো হবে। যেমনঃ বুলগেরিয়া, চেক রিপাবলিক, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, মায়ানমার, ইরান, সৌদি আরব ও তুরস্ক। জাপান সরকার গনমাধ্যমকে জানিয়েছেন।

কোভিড১৯ আক্রান্ত রোগীদের চিকিৎসার জন্য আরও ৩০টি দেশ এই ঔষধ নেয়ার আগ্রহ দেখিয়েছে। জাপান সরকার বিষয়টি ভাবনাচিন্তার মধ্যে রেখেছে। ২০১৪ সাল থেকে ইনফ্লুয়েঞ্জার চিকিৎসায় জাপানে এই ঔষধ ব্যবহার হচ্ছে আসছে।

চিনের উহান শহরের কোভিড১৯ আক্রান্ত রোগীদের প্রয়োগ করা হয়। চিন সরকারের দাবি, অ্যাভিগান ঔষধ কোভিড১৯ রোগ প্রতিরোধে ভাল কাজে এসেছে। চিন সরকার এটি বলাই, বিশ্বে অ্যাভিগান ঔষধটি নিয়ে তোলপাড় শুরু হয়।

জাপান সরকার বলেছে, প্রয়োজনে কোভিড ১৯ রোগীদের জন্য আভিগান বিশ্বব্যাপী সরবরাহ করা হবে। মারাত্মক করোনভাইরাস এখন পর্যন্ত ২,১৮,৭৬৪ মৃত বরণ করেছে এবং বিশ্বব্যাপী ৯,৬৫,১৯৭ জন সুস্থ হয়েছে। এটি বিশ্বব্যাপী ৩১ লক্ষ ৫৪ হাজারেরও বেশি লোককে প্রভাবিত করেছে। ২৯-০৪-২০২৯ এই তারিখ অনুষায়ী।

বাংলাদেশ সরকারের অনুমতি ক্রমে, স্থানীয় দুই ওষুধ প্রস্তুতকারকঃ বেকন এবং বেক্সিমকো ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস ফাভিপিরভির নামে একটি অ্যান্টিভাইরাল ড্রাগ তৈরি করেছেন যা কিছু দেশ কোভিড১৯ রোগীদের চিকিৎসার জন্য ব্যবহার করে আসছে।

তারা ওষুধ সরকার ও হাসপাতালগুলিতে দেবে যেখানে কোভিড১৯ রোগীদের ওষুধগুলি ফার্মেসীতে বিক্রি করার পরিবর্তে চিকিৎসার করা হচ্ছে।

বেকন ফার্মার ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক বলেছেন, ওষুধ তৈরি করতে আমাদের এক মাস সময় লেগেছে এবং আমরা উত্তেজিত। এই রবিবার বেকন ওষুধ প্রশাসন অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিচালকের কাছে হস্তান্তর করেছেন।
